TikTok Integration

1. What 1grid Does
1grid is a visual social content planning app. Creators and teams use it to upload media, arrange posts in a grid, manage captions, schedule content on a calendar, and review performance across connected social profiles.
2. How TikTok Login Kit Is Used
Users start TikTok connection from inside the authenticated 1grid app. 1grid redirects them to TikTok Login Kit, receives the authorization callback at https://1grid.app/api/auth/tiktok/callback, verifies the OAuth state value, exchanges the code server-side, and stores tokens securely on the server.
3. TikTok Data Accessed
With user authorization, 1grid may access TikTok user ID, display name, avatar, profile information, account statistics, public video metadata, access tokens, and refresh tokens. Tokens are used only from the server to maintain the connection, refresh access, import profile information, display analytics, and publish scheduled content.
4. Why Permissions Are Needed
- user.info.basic: identifies the connected TikTok account.
- user.info.profile: displays profile name, avatar, and profile details.
- user.info.stats: shows account-level performance context.
- video.list: reads video metadata for analytics and profile views.
- video.publish: submits scheduled TikTok posts selected by the user.
5. Posting and Uploading
Users create TikTok posts in 1grid, choose media, write captions, select available TikTok privacy and commercial content settings, and schedule or publish. For pull-from-URL posting, 1grid provides TikTok with HTTPS media URLs from a stable verified media domain that remains available during TikTok download and does not intentionally redirect.
6. Disconnecting TikTok
Users can disconnect TikTok in 1grid Settings. Disconnecting removes TikTok access and refresh tokens from the 1grid account and stops TikTok scheduling, publishing, profile import, and analytics until the user reconnects.
7. Privacy and Terms
Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for data handling, deletion requests, user responsibilities, and third-party platform terms.
